The Beach Clean Network
This is our pet project. Our Big Thing for 2010. It will help to change our world. And hopefully make a positive impact on everyone else's too. The Beach Clean Network began in 2008 with a walk on our local beach. Honestly, it was a state, with plastic bottles and rubbish absolutely everywhere. So we organised a beach clean with our local school. From there, and thanks to the Internet, the idea has grown. Now, with the help of our friends Tigerplum Design and Kamelon CMS, we are creating (or trying to create) a national network of beach cleaners and organisers. The website will be somewhere to go for information on local clean ups, clean up groups and hints and tips as well as safety advice and recycling information. It's a simple idea that is still in it's infancy. Even so we have been featured in The Surfer's Path Magazine and Drift Magazine. At the moment we are working on the website and how it will work.
